For UK customers we offer a unique “Try before you buy” scheme. All we ask is that you cover the cost of the postage and agree to our terms & conditions for this scheme. No. The M&B design is exclusive and unique.

How do I take care of my new mouthpiece?

A mouthpiece must be cleaned from time to time. Soap and water are enough to remove any residuals that build up after some time. Use a special brush in order to clean the inside of your back bore. Dropping your mouthpiece can have a negative effect on playability. This includes damaging of the rim profile, deformation of the shank and so on. Therefore, it is good practice to place your mouthpiece in a pouch instead of letting it out in your instrument’s case.

What custom finishes do you offer?

Ever mouthpiece is initially plated with a minimum of 20 microns of silver. Mouthpieces can be supplied in bright silver plate or with a custom finish, which is at extra cost. The finishes that are available are satin silver, full or part gold plating and rose gold plating. As we do the custom plating in house we can be very flexible in the design to give you a unique custom finish if that is what you require. You just need to speak to us to discuss your requirements.

What is the effect of gold plating compared with silver plating?

Gold plating allows the lips and the skin around them to warm much more quickly than with silver. Gold plating gives the lips more flexibility since it offers less friction. It also produces a relatively clean and lyrical sound. On the other hand, silver plated mouthpieces tend to feel more secure due to enhanced grip and produce a relatively darker tone colour.

What quality checks do you perform on new mouthpieces?

Each batch of new mouthpieces are checked at each stage of the manufacturing process in order to ensure that we are achieve a consistently high standard of quality. In addition, ever mouthpiece has a final inspection just prior to being posted. This ensures that that every mouthpiece is perfect when it is delivered to you.

Does the price shown include postage?

No. Postage fees have to be paid accordingly, depending on the country from where the purchase is made. Please not that international purchases may be subject to your counties import taxes.

What postage service do you use?

Mouthpiece orders are only delivered by courier which is a fast and efficient door-to-door service and which is also trackable. More often than not we use FedEx.
